FEEDING DIRECTIONS
Feed ¬Ω to 1¬Ω kg per 100 kg percent body weight along with good quality hay. As the horse ages, problems with their teeth will mean the forage component of their diet will gradually need to be replaced with processed crude fibres. Rx Roughage cubes or pellets are a great choice to add to the ration at increasing levels. The combination can be soaked to make it easier to consume. Closely monitor your older horse, his or her behaviour, body condition, feed intake, and whether he or she spits out balls of hay. Those are all indicators a change in ration and management is needed.
* Feeding rates may vary depending on forage quality and horse’s activity level.
