The Dentler company only uses freshly felled wood of grades AA and A. Darker in colour, they are unaffected by the sun and bad weather. The absence of cracks and fissures on these first-quality woods prevents the risk of premature crumbling and breakage.

Antlers are deciduous bony prominences that grow every year on either side of the skull of deer. The growth, which lasts about four months, takes place between May and August. Their growth is on average one centimetre per day.
